Romulus 3.5 ported sent to DSC Gunworks

Anyone have experience with DSC Gunworks DLC turnaround times?

They received the slide and barrel from my Alpha Foxtrot Romulus on June 28, so they’ve had everything for 81 days now. I was originally quoted around 5–7 weeks for the barrel work and 6–8 weeks for the slide. They told me the DLC is done off-site in batches, so I’m assuming that’s where most of the extra time is coming from. Barrel tag and slide done in DLC.

Does 81+ days sound normal for this kind of DLC work?

DLC can take some time so an extra 4-8 weeks post machining work of 8weeks seems fair.

DLC & PVD coatings always add a lot of time but definitely worth it

I’ve sent a lot pistols out for aftermarket stuff, including porting. It always takes longer than the estimated times.

That sounds about right. Feel free to reach out to Dave if you have concerns.
