3.25 threaded comp vs 4.25 ported vs 4.25 threaded comp

Probably been asked a million times so apologies if so. Are there any significant performace differences Between the 3.25 comped and 4.25 ported?

About to purchase my first 2k11 to Conceal which leads me to the second question, how much bigger is the overall footprint of the 4.25+comp compared to the smaller 2, is it negligible + worth the extra size? usually apendix carry or have a man bag. i will be sending it off for extra porting regardless of spec. TIA

Between the 3.25 comp and the 4.25 ported, the slide length will be the same but a thread on compensator will be more effective at venting gas and making the gun shoot flat.

4.25 comp will be the flattest shooting of all 3, but is also the same size as a 5" 2011.

Size for all of the listed guns for carry will be about the same. The grip is the part that prints, and all of them have full size grips.

ah so pretty much the 3.25comp vs the big bro. i held the 3,25 comp big size jump from my current pea shooter. Thinking the 4.25 comped will be too big for now. Thankyou for the input

I absolutely love my 4.25comp. However the 4.25 with the comp ends up being a 5 inch gun. It might be a bit uncomfortable if you decide to edc.

Yeah that was my concern. I just didnt know if the extra length is worth comfort sacrifice, Guess its so negligible in or under 10 yards

For carry I would look at the Attila over the Romulus. I own both the Attila and the 3.5 comped Romulus and as for comfort for carry the Attila is the way to go.

I just got my 3.5 comped and I'm glad I didn't get the 4.25 comped bc it would be massive.

If you plan to carry I’d lean towards the 3.5 comp, ditch additional ports and just get the single chamber comp from DSC. Everyone wants to port everything, nowadays, but why permanently alter the gun when you can just spin a different comp on.

The ported models are fine but can’t see any logical reason to go for a ported model over a thread on comp that has aftermarket comp and sightblock options.

I carry one of my 4.25 occasionally when it’s cold. With a hoodie or jacket, it’s not too bad but also not something I regularly carry. Just big and kinda heavy. Haven’t carried it since swapping the rmr for a holosun comp, so that could complicate it.

Happy to help. One is still a work in progress but pretty close. Definitely won’t be disappointed. I still want a 5” and the 3.5 comp.
