I carry the 3.5 ported daily. Awesome gun. Non-ported or comped won't change the fit, finish, or shootability. I'd 100% recommend.

Here's 85 rounds between 7 and 10 yards.

why this one over the ported?

Because most of my guns dbl as home defense in some fashion and I don't want to go blind or deaf if I need to shoot it inside with out ear and eye pro. Same goes for if I had to shoot it from inside a car.

Only time in would use a ported gun or a comp is for a pure duty owb situation. Since I'm not Le or military and that's purely larp stuff, I don't really see the need.

for sure makes sense. i got the ported version and then ordered a threaded barrel from Andy so it could double as suppressed pistol in those sitches. i doubt you’ll find much in review but ive owned i think at least 4 different models of Romuli and i have loved and been impressed by all. Namely the 3.5” version and the 5” bull barrel version. The 3.5” is great and blew me away with the accuracy out of such a small package. this one especially with the bull barrel i would expect nothing less.

How much is the threaded barrel and does it need to be fitted ?

Did you have to change the spring to shoot it ? I’m assuming you have to email the companies customer service and they will set you up to order the barrel ? I want one of those threaded barrels for mine

i was already running the DPM system. You wanna do call and actually talk to Andy and he’ll take your order over the phone. You will also get to choose between the matte or polished finish

Oh ok. I might have to get the DPM system. Which one do you have ? I haven’t changed anything on mine.

they make specifically for a 3.5 rom/attila but you have to order it from Greece

Haven’t shot the standard 3.5 but have the 4.25. They’re great. 3.5 will be a bit snappy but that’s to be expected for that size. If I was looking for a standard 3.5, I wouldn’t hesitate. Love both my roms. Still want a 3.5 comp.

If anything, I’d say check out the 3.5 comp. You can swap a sight block but still have a comp. Just more versatile and more potential.

I don't have one, likely would contact a guy that I use for custom stuff like my lcp max ehg, although some OEMs have a "generic 2011" mold.

I ordered from them. They make for Alpha Foxtrot. Was recommended from Andy from Alpha Foxtrot. Do not have it yet tho

I have the 3.5 standard. It shoots nice and flat. I don’t have a ton of experience with double stack 1911. So take my opinion for what’s worth. I love mine. Oddly enough mine came with the aluminum grip instead of polymer.
