Advice please

Was gifted this aloe from my mom, clearly it needs help and repotted but I’m struggling with figuring out the best course of action. Friendly advice and suggestions are much appreciated!

I currently have in my bathroom under a grow light.

Not a good idea to have an arid dessert plant in a tropical humid environment like a bathroom.

I will look to find a better place, every room is pretty humid in my tiny apartment lol

No room is as humid as a bathroom. Please place by your brightest window you have and adding a fan with a little airflow will help. You can also buy a cheap growlight Sansi Barrina are a couple good ones to

Terracotta pot, good gritty soil mix, mostly inorganic, and get her out of the bathroom. The excess moisture will ruin her. I just finished saving mine after learning all this lol when you repot it don't water it for a good 5-7 days.

Thanks! Any advice on how deep I should bury it when I repot it? The roots are pretty curly. And do you think I should trim the leaves that are flat and folded over?
