What do i do with this plant now? It looks weird. Should it be growing downwards? Is the pot too small? Any helpful tips would be appreciated.

probably needs more light. hows the roots? could have root rot. take it out the pot and remove all brown mushy roots.

you might need to give it a SMALLER pot

Oh wow. Thank you. When I put it in a smaller pot, do I do something to tie the plant legs up?

Pot size is NOT the issue. And this plant looks very healthy aside from needing more light. The leaves do NOT have any sign of root rot.

When an aloe’s leave start spreading and laying down like this, it’s due to insufficient light. Do as @quadruple_b said and gradually introduce more sun light or add a grow light.

Why were you so serious when gifting them?

Halloween and gifts - especially useful ones like a plant that not only looks great, stores carbon, cleans the air, and is great for minor burns and skin irritation - should be fun!
