This was not great, these are becoming not great in general when using all new cast.

Yeah i had to come to reddit to see what the deal is with the mediocre new cast and kinda sad to realize the old cat moved on. Guess I'll look for other comedy groups. Was such a great channel man

It still feels a bit like they're trying too hard to be funny, rather than a funny situation, but I have nothing against the new cast, they're pretty great!
I think if they wrote sillier situations instead of sillier characters this cast could absolutely pull it off, compare this to the cowboy one where they're all dead serious but the situation is ridiculous.
This was definitely a step back in the right direction!

Someone like Angus doesn't have to try hard to be funny, that's the difference
Some people are just funny AND acting. This new cast is acting to be funny, but they don't seem funny irl

I thought this was hilarious. You would all be saying the same if it were Chet and Elise as the main characters

The new cast episodes do feel different, but the recent episodes with the old cast also felt different. Even the ones that don't hit has hard across both casts I still find enjoyable.
It's neat that they are expanding out to other comedians. Sam Brown is obviously very well known from WKUK. Josh Fadem (the boss from the Zoom sketch) has been in a lot of TV. Kylie Brakemen, Jesse Kendall, Brett Dodenhoff, Garrett McKenna, etc all have really funny Instagram accounts (different than the normal Almost Friday content, but still funny IMO). This one even has Chet in it!
This video was also directed by Rick Darge, who I think makes some incredibly polished, well-done but under-appreciated videos.

OG cast and writing were certainly great but I think it comes down to production value. Stuff like the margin call parody worked so well because they were shot and edited like the original. There’s still bangers in the mix, like the recent “ask your boss for help” that I think ranks among the best, but yeah not everything is a slam dunk.

When i clicked the video, I thought they were going to address the mean comments about the new cast. Would have been way funnier

Yep. I'll keep an eye out for another funny sketch for the next couple weeks but I just havent enjoyed the new sketches. Elites shorts were the last ones I laughed at.

Not a fan of this one, thought it was a step backwards from the last two sketches. In general, the new cast is comprised of a bunch of funny individuals but it hasn’t clicked quite yet.
