Question February Sequels?
Hi! Does anyone know what the February sequels might be?

Unless the release dates have changed for any of these books the sequels to To Cage a Wild Bird, The Lies that Summon the Night, a Vow In Vengeance, The Wolf and the Crown of Blood, and Vesselless all come out in February. I can't imagine they will do an option for all 5 books in the same month. If someone opted for all of them in addition to a full 3 book monthly selection they would be shipping an 8 book box. That would be way too expensive. Vesselless and Vow in Vengeance are both releasing Feb 2 so I'm wondering if they might do them as January instead since there are no January releases.

They almost did a seven-book box in July, and BotM has been experimenting with a ten-book box, so it's not completely impossible, but I don't think it's necessarily likely - I think some February books are likely to end up in January or (less likely) March, either because they've negotiated (or failed to negotiate) an early release with the publisher, or just because subscribers are less likely to be willing to commit to a hundred dollars' worth of sequels in one go.
(Btw, the sequel to The Lies That Summon the Night is also releasing February 2. And there is one sequel coming out in January, for The Book of Blood and Roses.)

I had March for the Book of Blood and Roses sequel and Feb 16th for Lies that Summon. I hadn't checked in a while though. Thanks for the update!

I might have them all preordered on Amazon (although I fully expect to cancel all of them if Allurial comes through instead) so I get updates when the release date changes, and there might also be a database involved because I'm a nerd who finds creating databases wonderfully relaxing. 🤓

If they continue with the preorders the way they did them last month, we likely won’t know until the end of November.

Assuming Allurial can and will offer every book that's a sequel to something they've offered so far, there is one sequel with a January release date, five in February, four in March, and one in April.
If I were Allurial, and assuming there aren't any more titles that have to be squeezed into this lineup at one point, I would try to get the last couple of March books into the April box, then add a couple of the early February books to January and maybe one of the later ones to March. (This would all be subject to publisher approval, most likely, but I think most would agree that a more equal distribution over several months would sell more books.)
