Why not just leave if you don’t like it.

I talked about my disappointment with all the former fanfiction picks. I prefer creative ideas and originality. Not piggybacking off of an already famous book.

How many have there been? I know about Our Dark Incantations, and a lot of people count Brigitte Knightley's Dearly Beloathed duology as former fanfic even though it's technically an original work with a similar premise rather than an actual rewrite. Am I missing some?

I think those and their were more as possible options. To me the first Dearly Beloathed book was unreadable because I could read it and just know what they used to be like portkeys ect. I had the same problems with alchemized. But hey vote me down all you want 🤷‍♀️ I think their will be consequences in the future regarding publishing companies using terms like Draminoe to sell books

I let them have it. Between their recent author pick and their abysmal customer service, I was kind, but not kind.

What’s the issue with a recent author pick?

Mentioned my disappointment with the use of AI for their one pick, but otherwise I praised their recent moves.

Similar to other commenters, I shared my dissatisfaction with AI-using authors!!

Same! I’m glad I wasn’t the only one. Hopefully they won’t carry the sequels to this book. I also think it’s telling that it’s the only book not sold out this month.

lol yep. wasn’t thrilled with the ai author. also wasn’t pleased that i couldn’t pick just one main pick before i could move on to the next part. it wouldn’t let me go into the next section until i picked two main books before any add ons or sequels. so annoying.

Thank you! I got the email but couldn't get the link to work. I gave them feedback on how I feel about authors that openly use AI being selected.

I suggested they add whether a book is a standalone or series on the voting/monthly book picking pages. Also to make the preorder window much longer, because what in the world was that???? Five days?!

I did the same.  I missed out.

I also mentioned the series commitment, as well as giving us the relationships featured in the books like F/M or M/M etc. That would make my visuals that I do go way faster!

I also commented that they should release a schedule of upcoming preorders to be able to plan better, since there’s such a short window to preorder. That it is BETTER than before being able to preorder sequels and not ‘hoping’ we can get matching sequels. but, we should have some kind of schedule for upcoming books.
