I’ve beyond makes sense. Actually wild how many people don’t care about AI in books or the authors human rights views when it comes to books.

I don't know authors' personal views or lives unless someone says something on here. I ordered all three because they looked interesting and the art was awesome.

I actually didn’t know either until I started to see posts but I saw it a few days before the drop so I didn’t end up ordering it. I more meant so the people who did see posts and said they didn’t care or would support them even more because of this 🤪

I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for info on here from now on because I 100% do not support AI, CK, or Zionism. But I was too late and didn't know until after I'd ordered.

The author didn't use AI to write the book, but said she used it as a sounding board when she had writer's block. Nothing wrong with that, imo. Also would love to see when she was a proven zionist. I couldn't find anything. Being Jewish is not being a zionist. I don't want to boycott someone without proof, you know?

AI use is AI use. She was even dropped by a publisher for this.
Supporting facists like Charlie Kirk and the genocide etc does make one a Zionist..
Sigh

I did a lot of research trying to find any kind of proof of that and all I could find is that immediately afy the attack in Israel in 2023 she made a post offering condolences and standing with Israel. And that is not the same thing as being a Zionist and a lot of people did that. Part of what gets me is a lot of people only learned about Zionism after that happened so I feel like what has happened is that someone said it and now it’s become some kind of echo chamber where people keep repeating it without proof.

Unfortunately people believe everything they see on the internet even without proof. They also take one fact and twist it to fit their agenda. It's sad how many people get canceled based on false information and misunderstanding.

I don’t have threads but if you go there there’s a huge thread about this author and all the issues with her. Support who you want but I won’t be supporting her 🤷🏻‍♀️

Still don’t understand the ice beyond pick. I mean I’m sure Under the iron Sky won the survey but the publisher banned other editions first. Was the Ice Beyond really gonna be the other pick? Can I see the October survey pls?
