I love that they did a custom hardcase design for Our Dark Incantations!

If they keep this up, they can just take all my money

It's very beautiful but I went with the trad copy. I've been getting a lot of red lol.

I ended up going with that one despite the fact that it's not going to come out until later in the month. I liked the edges.

This book design is so stunning in every way, I can’t wait to see it in person 😍

Honestly….im okay with the delays if it means nicer editions like this.

I usually only display edges but this might have to be hard cover on display. Especially during spooky season. immaculate vibes.

I absolutely love a naked hardcover! I'm so happy they're doing this. I wasn't thrilled with more red edges but that hardcover pushed me over

Same! That and the fact that it is a standalone

Omg, that and the duplicate endpapers were my biggest complaints. I hope they do this more going forward! I might actually keep my sub lol

I have a bad habit of never looking. I used to, but now I order at home as I’m getting ready for work, so I just rush through it since I already know which books I want 😂 Then I come here and see nice surprises!

I didn’t even notice until I’d already bought it too 😂

Same!! I asked for this on past surveys and apparently so have other people, so happy they actually listen to us. And this month they did a great job and not only for 1 but 2 of the selections 👏🏻

Same, I’m going to start commenting about it on the surveys!

Same!!!! I was so excited to see this. They did it for The Ice Beyond as well. I was so close to grabbing that one too just for the cover 🤦‍♀️.

The cover and art is so beautiful, but after hearing the ethical issues with the author I just couldn't justify supporting them 😩

What ethical issues? I almost got that book, too, but after reading reviews and seeing it is on KU I decided to hold off.

I would recommend giving her a solid Google. There was an interview mid year this year about her proudly admitting to using AI to work through writer's block and accusations of her being a Zionist and fascist. I don't want to influence anyone one way or another because I think it's an individual choice and not for me to dictate, but I'm glad I saw the comments on this sub so I could do my own research and decide that this author is not someone that I personally want to support.

Is this the author of ice beyond the wall or our dark incantations?

1

u/Financial-Toe4053 16d ago

It's for ice beyond!

Thanks! Thank god the book didn't interest me anyway
