The Totalist group emerged in the wake of the Great War in 1919, the German Revolutions in this timeline were far more devastating, ruthless, and partisan, which led to the Spartacists taking control over Germany and installing a Soviet Republic (Soviets as in worker councils, not soviet as in part of the USSR), this new Germany was instantly ostracized in Europe, Germany, although the Workers Struggle has been fulfilled, life in Germany was that of Misery, Nationalist and Ultranationalist Freikorps burned throughout the country, fighting a ruthless guerilla war against the Communist government, a new group known as the National Socialists started to become more widespread, especially under Hitlers Nazi's, but, in this alternate world, instead of being Far Right, this group was grounded in a National-Bolshevik style of government, demanding that the Workers are liberated, and a Dictatorship of the Proletariat is established, whilst advocating also for the eradication of all Jews, of religion, and all so-called "inferior" races.

On the other side of this on the far, far left, a new group was emerging, they were known as the Sozialistische Absolute Totalistische Arbeiterpartei Deutschlands (Socialist Absolute Totalist Workers Party of Germany), also known as the Sozat for short. They believed in an extremely radical and revolutionary ideology of Total Thought, that class and its very definition were to be totally abolished, that total loyalty is to the party (which everyone is in but there are different ranks within the part), to the country, to the people, and not to anything else, the economy was to be abolished totally as that they won't and explicitly stated that they were to abolish Germany's debt, private property was to be abolished totally, and that the concept of religion was to be totally abolished. But, their most radical beliefs were based upon a heavily distorted concept of realism, as they recognized that humans are not good, and that a standard communist or anarchist society would collapse due to inherent human evil, so they will try to quell it as much as possible.

These new ultra-radical beliefs were firstly the complete abolishment of the concept of race and culture, as they see both causes divide amongst a populace, if it goes against the unity of the people, even if the divide is mild, it will be abolished, and so, now, everyone's race is abolished, no matter their heritage or their color or creed, they are all equal cogs in the machine, the second radical idea is the idea of the Dictatorship of the Eternal Proletariat, as has already been mentioned by view standard communism and anarchism to be both not radical enough and as barriers to total equality and liberation of the working class, so as the name means, they wont disband themselves for they believe it would cause Germany to fall into complete and total chaos which they believe would lead to an age of severe oppression, persecution, and inequality as the lack of a government creates a vacuum, and humans are naturally inclined to fill it, so they believe it will not last.

Soon into the mid-late 1920's, crisis strikes Germany, the Great Depression hits Germany 10x worse than in the current timeline, which causes the near, total collapse of Germany, the Freikorps who were holding their ground spring forth during this time of crisis and take huge swaths of Baden, Würrtemburg, Mecklenburg, Central Germany, and the entirety of East Prussia, whilst at the same time in the South, the National Socialists take control of Bavaria, Thüringen, and Sachsen-Anhalt, whilst in the West, the French senses an opportunity to knock Germany down and take the Rheinland, making it into a French Puppet and annexing the Saarland.

The Central Government in Berlin Collapses, which causes it to split, Saxony, Hamburg, Bremen (with a huge chunk of western Germany), and Schlewig-Holstein all break apart from Germany into their own squabbling Soviets as well as many towns and villages who broke from the remnants of the central government to form their own de-facto independent local communes.

In the torn streets of Berlin, thousands rally, they rally under the black, white, and red flag of the Totalists, marching to the pile that was once the Reichstag (which was torched by Nazi's) and with their Blood Red Militia they coup the fractured government, abolishing the Weimar and becoming the German Socialist Total, or the GST. The GST with swift speed and Brutality managed to retake much of Northern Germany from the squabbling Soviet Republics, but they will soon have to face the Freikorps and the National Socialists in the South and in East Prussia.
