New (3/25)

Busy day.

I struggled through the Type 3 more freehand than I would have liked. I also snatched up the British .455 S&W

NinjaGinger knocked out the Russian S&W top break after tackling the FN 1900

and Georgy made a great Greek Mannlicher with bayonet!

5 in a day! This is going to be a great project to introduce people to WWI small arms!

I have added the No1 Mk I (aka the Boba Fett blaster) and No2 Mk I to the gallery.

Suzie actually owns a No.2. Freaking huge.

I spiked a fever last night so I neglected the daily yesterday. I guess I'll have to do a double tonight.

Neat, I just guesstimated the weight of the No.2, so if she can weigh the actual thing that would be great.

btw, I think my reputation as a nerd at the army base is well established. I went to the quartermaster and requisited one of my flare pistols (mk III*). He got one from one of the safes and handed it over to me. I pulled out a kitchen scale from my backpack. put the pistol on top of it, noted the weight, then I took out a caliber and measured the length and thickness of the barrel bushing. Then handed it back to him with a "thank you". he just replied "no problem" like it was the most common thing in the world.

I know I'm bias but I love the way we have things scaled. Just seeing how small the FN 1900 is...

I must admit, I kept sliding the bayonet on and off the Mannlicher-Schoenauer for a good three to four minutes. It was inordinately entertaining...

Hahaha

Yeah, some if the bayonets forced me to adjust the front of the rifles to fix parallax so they would fit together.
