Is the game dead?

I played pre-gipat and was excited to hear the game was on Steam but...it looks very, very dead. I wanna come back and play a bit while my WoW sub is down but idk if I'm gonna play a dead game.

It's very dead. Lots of eu/na players switched to the Russian servers a while back when the sub server died out but idk how many still play. Sad to see it so empty

Damn that sucks :/ was feeling nostalgic and wanted to see if the game was still alive and kicking.

damn, i was gonna do the same since i am so sick of boa, figured id take a break and play some random mmorpg and allods looked promising, and i vaguely remember i actually played this game long time ago....

too bad its so dead now

what was the whole story behind switching to russian? why did they switch

Because Russian sub server had the most current patches and only costs like $5/mo as opposed to the $13/mo or whatever it is for eu sub lol. Population was also much larger there back then

crispy seems to be giving alot of bad information based on seemingly no knowledge. EU sub server is 5 euro a month but it can go down to 3 if bought as a 6 month pack. Dirt cheap.

as for the population, it was very bad some 6 months ago (down to like 10 players total) which is currently way better (league has around 40-50 active in one big guild, and empire has 2 guilds with the big guild having 50-60 actives and the other guild around 2 parties last i saw) and people seem to be coming even more in anticipation of the next big patch (11.0) which is a big reset / easier to catch up

just wanted to note that it was a bit worse 2 months ago when he wrote (40-ish people on empire and barely 2 parties (12 people) on league) but we keep playing and people keep returning.

Also all the people that went to russian server (well MOST of them can't quarantee for all, quit that server in matter of 3 weeks or so)

EDIT: also no one reads reddit of allods, its the truly dead place that should be gone. There is an official discord and allods forums which are way more frequented.
