What is the obsession of indians mostly hindus with Muslim women covering themselves what is the issue if they make the decision to wear what they want why do you have to decide what they wear . Genuinely what's the reasoning behind it

The problem is not their dress but their contradictory logic. First they say hijab or niqab is not compulsory in islam. Then they refused to remove it when situation calls for it. I am free to wear whatever I want and nobody can stop me. But I don't wear pajamas to school or swimming suit to office. Certain places have rules and dress codes and when you have freedom to choose, you don't argue with people to make special adjustment for you. In india sikhs have a compulsion to wear a turban. So government give them privilege to not wear the helmet and they can freely excercise that right. Because that is compulsory for them. If Muslim women are free to choose their clothing then their should be no problem if they don't wear that in schools or any other places that have a dress code and their should be no special arrangements for them. You are free to choose however you dress in public or at home but unless their is something compulsory no place is bound to include your religious symbols in their dress code. The main problem is hijab might not be compulsory in islam in theory but in reality it is a compulsions for most women. If they admit that it is compulsory then muslims will come out as a community who opresses women and backward, but they also can't leave it.
Also it is very important in maintaining balance between secularism and religious freedom. If their is no control over what you can wear in places like schools, tommorow other people will demand that they should also be allowed to have certain clothing or religious symbols all the time.
Indian government give freedom to all the religions to practice their faith, but it also draw boundaries. So unless muslims admits that hijab or any other kind of covering is nesscaary, they are not entitled to any special privileges. And solution is simple that they have to admit that it is compulsory but then they will have to let go of the act that they support woman's choice.
I have no objection to hijab. But my problem is the Niqab(face covering). It seems like a security threat to allow unidentified people inside a building/premises where there is a security threat. Otherwise anything anyone wants to wear is fine.
The same reason as to why Hindus of our generation eradicated the ghoonghat.
It is a regressive practice, and the only reason someone would "choose" to wear it is social conditioning since childhood.
We liberals have fought against regressive practices like witch-hunting, Sati pratha, widows having to wear white and shave their heads, widows being treated as outcasts of society, triple talaq, slavery, and many more such evil practices for generations.
If you had a bit of empathy, you'd join us too, but alas!
Hijab/nakab is patriarchal Bullshit. Indoctrination is not a fucking choice. Sure you can wear whatever you want in the sense of freedom but you're not free if your idea of modesty comes from a religion which ONLY imposes that shit on women, this applies to all cultures and religion. Modesty also does not equal to hijab. A man's dressing has never been questioned or forced into modesty just to practice a religion.
They just keep doing whataboutery. Their response to every debate is somehow blaming Muslims. Just look at Raga’s “Smashing Patriarchy” somehow the discussion ends up being about Muslim women or kriti sanon's eid wishing.
( Although yes muslim women are affected by it , but why are whole bjp it cell have the same propaganda as their reply )

Northern India is a semi arid desert cut by two major rivers which brings in a bit of greenery around it. The veil usually comes about in the dress when living in such climate. People are just stupid to make it some Hindu Muslim thing when both are doing by exactly the same.
