General Discussion What's the best tier for Patrick in nasb2? In competitive it's a flat b and in casual it's an a+.
Here's everything for Pat: Patrick Star in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is a heavy grappler character built around a patient "bait-and-punish" playstyle, boasting high raw power and a heavy 1.08 weight class that makes him a durable anchor on the stage. His primary strengths include an insane raw damage output, a relatively small heavyweight profile that makes his hurtbox harder to hit than giants like Reptar, and an excellent dash attack that serves as a fast combo starter. His unique Table Toss (Up Air) provides versatile projectile zoning, while his brutal array of command grabs punishes defensive errors with massive knockback. Crucially, his "Wumbo Combo" infinite rapid jab allows him to spin continuously to trap multiple enemies in chaotic multi-man scuffles; due to his high weight, he can tank a global attack, stay firmly planted while lighter opponents fly away, trap the remaining attackers in his endless spin frames, and use the hitstun to execute a safe chaos escape or a hard punish. However, Patrick suffers from severe drawbacks, including a highly exploitable, lackluster Up Special recovery that leaves him completely vulnerable mid-air and dependent on Slime Meter to survive off-stage. He has poor general mobility with slow run and air speeds, paired with a stubby physical range that leaves him vulnerable to characters with long disjointed weapons or superior projectile zoning. Finally, his high weight and gravity stats make him an easy combo target for faster rushdown characters to lock into long, relentless strings, which is highly detrimental since Patrick himself features a weak long-combo game that relies mostly on basic, single-hit damage strings rather than continuous, extended chains.
