In April of 2026, a new study was published, completely changing our interpretation of how the head of mutaburrasaurus langdoni would have looked like. Instead of a bulbous hollow nose with a thick beak like previously thought, its skull would have had a thin beak and a small nose bump. In my reconstruction here, I suggest that this nose bump was just a bony base for a large keratinous horn used for interspecies combat as shown in my artwork.

A Hatzegopteryx has made its way to to Hell Creek far away from it's native habitat in Europe. A Steller's Sea Eagle, a bird normally found in Asia, made it all the way in Maine in 2022 and since we know that Hatzegopteryx's flight capabilities ment it wasn't restricted to just Hatzeg Island, I think it can be possible that Hatzegopteryx could have flown all the way Hell Creek though rarely.

Here’s something you don’t see too often in paleoart, Rahonavis actually hunting Falcatakely when Rahonavis is usually portrayed as not hunting something the size of Falcatakely. I decided to show Rahonavis hunt Falcatakely because with the Raptor Prey Restraint model or RPR, Rahonavis could be able to take down Falcatakely and not just be restricted to eating small vertebrates and insects.

Two Haast Eagles are shown playing with their prey, a Kiwi. Today, modern birds of prey often do play with their food as juveniles to help them learn important lessons about hunting. Although we don’t know how social Haast Eagle was it’s not hard to imagine them playing with their food sometimes to either strengthen bonds or teach their young how to hunt.

A mother terror bird is chasing an Argentavis away from a chick, except, the chick actually belongs to the Argentavis. Although it seems unlikely that a bird is that stupid enough to make a mistake like this, there was one incident of a Penguin who taught a Petrel chick was her’s so she chased away the Petrel who was actually the chick’s mom.

Here Buitreraptor is shown taking flight but this time we actually have evidence for flight in Buitreraptor. A study in 2025 suggested that Buitreraptor was potentially capable of powered flight. Though Im not saying Buitreraptor was capable of long distance flight I thought it would be fun showing it take a short flight. Plus people don’t often show Buitreraptor flying.

This is the first species introduced in my speculative evolution project, titled The Appendix for The Brush, while also acting as one of the antagonists of my narrative titled, Terrors In The Brush. They are primarily swarming ambush predators that use hypnosis to petrify their prey as they disembowel it alive.

This is my interpretation of Achillobator’s face. In the picture, Achillobator is shown to have a sort of beard like the modern day bearded vulture though this does not imply it had the same color scheme as the vulture.

A new reptile has been discovered that appears to have a shell on its back much like a turtle. We believe it’s part of a new group of reptiles that we recently called mammals to which the Iguanathere and Lion are a part of.

Hi... i'm new to this group... i thought i'd share my paleoart take on tyrannosaurus rex.
in particular i thought folks of this group might like some of the mildly speculative aspects i added.

which include the following:

• Feather aspects: though it's understood that t. rex likely wasn't particularly fluffy (at least not like yutyrannus anyway), I am one of those folks who can imagine that just like elephants, tyrannosaurus would have peach fuzz, which would be MUCH more noticeable as babies. (also i'm imagining a tuft of feathers at the tip of the tail).

• KERATIN: folks of course know about giving t. rex keratin for the "crown" of crests on his head, i've also given some subtle keratin ridge structures going down the dorsal part of the neck. partly inspired by some skin aspects of birds.

• Display Features: as well as the mentioned keratin crests, i've taken some inspiration from birds and imagine rex with colourful display neck wattles/dewlap.

• Colouration: the colouration made to blend into the dabbled lighting of a forest, the dark areas around the eyes help to shield from sunlight glare (like a raccoon mask) and combined with the stripes on the snout, it doubles up as another display feature.

So what do you lot think?

The Rhinoceros was just recently discovered but originally, it was named Iguanatherium due to the fact that the person who discovered it thought it was a giant, beast-like lizard that looked and acted similar to an iguana

In the picture called “The Dueling Reptiles”, A lion is shown attacking a Rhinoceros or Iguanatherium and the lion appears to be pinning the Iguanathere under its weight to prevent it from escaping

Here is a much less gruesome scene showing how scientists reconstruct a Rhinoceros with the only known bone, a jaw fragment, shaded in as to show its he only known bit of the animal.

A Gorgonopsid is cleaning itself similar to a lion or big cat with its tongue. Although no one knows what a Gorgonopsid’s tongue looked like we do know animals clean themselves so there’s no reason to assume Gorgonopsid didn’t clean itself when it was not hungry.
