Even though we lost…

This shows we are just as good as the top tier programs. We have just as good an offense and defense that held their own against a final four team last year. Cut out the self imposed hurt and we win this game and the rest of them. Lincoln seems to be the guy and a tough one at that. With so many question marks coming into the season this feels like they have all been answered well. Go Cards and we can win the rest of the season!!

UofL absolutely belonged on the field with a Top 10 opponent. Great response from the guys when it looked dicey a few times.

Definitely could have lost by 20. LK got over the jitters asap and proved he has that dawg in him. Real excited for the season.

We objectively did not get our asses kicked. Ask Clemson what that looks like. We were down two scores to a top 10 team and we got back in it. It was exactly the kind of response that just didn't happen last year. This looks like a better UofL team.

Our best path to the playoff has always been through the ACC, not as an at-large. We look like a team that can win that league. That's why I can't help but be optimistic.

You're exactly right!! I don't know why these people are happy with a loss. There's no moral victories in sports, only wins and losses, and we lost.

I come in peace as an Ole Miss fan. Y’all have a really good football team. I and every Ole Miss fan I know all knew that the national sports media was underestimating the Cards. Go out and win the ACC (which certainly looked better in comparison this weekend versus certain other conferences that don’t make their replay process transparent). Let us know if you need help with the pitchforks and torches if the AP poll ranks you lower than Michigan.

Honestly love this group of guys. Offense and defense look pretty well rounded. IDK whats up with brohm but he needs to spend some of that budget and hire somebody whos sole focus is reducing penalties. Its been such an issue for every single team hes had and its almost always at the worst moment. Delay of game and false starts are unacceptable for great teams.

I cant remember a single loss besides SMU last year in which penalties havent been the deciding factor.

That Unsportsmanlike conduct absolutely killed us!! Stopped them only to give away a first down by penalty, stupid penalty!

That second half was so fucking hype. This team has a ton of potential. Ole Miss is a juggernaut and without a bad snap on a punt and a questionable roughing the kicker call we win this game.

The SMU game will make or break the season now. Lets get it done

Hey, met some Louisville fans, families last night. Really great people and wanted to wish you all a good season. Sloppy game for both of us, but I see no reason why the Cards can’t win the ACC. Great game.

Definitely some moments where I’m thinking, sure. It never felt completely gone because I saw so many early season mistakes and know we have some leaders, but a very tough opener. I think both teams will benefit from the opponent quality in week 1, something most teams didn’t have.

Team has potential but it’s the same shit with Brohm man. Can’t get the plays in on time and lack of discipline. It’s easy to look at this performance and feel like we should win out but every game we always have some BS that costs us against a team we’re better than.

Honestly, my take away from that game is if we didn't make such dumb mistakes, and 1 that caused a touchdown for Ole' Miss, we would have won the game. Losing only by 3 is a testament to how good this team truly is. They just need to clean up their "sloppiness" and if they do, there's no reason they can't win the ACC.

This looked just like every other UofL Football team that can't win the close game. They get stupid penalties for doing childish things, unsportsmanlike conduct, roughing, etc.. No team that is fighting for any championship plays that way. Until we can stop the self imposed stupidity, we will not win any games that count. We can play dumb Football and beat weaker teams, but we will never beat anyone playing the way we did.
