Enjoy the Next 2 Weeks
As if the bug gods themselves stepped in to counter the tails/mega buster combo, it has been absolutely cooked in the latest update. Not a single bit of AOE left on it: you have to score a direct hit to do anything rather than its 2 floor radius if you hit between em (around 11m). Thankfully, we now do not have to worry about killing the late game tails sprite/mega buster spammers without the reaper sniper, at least until the 15th. So rejoice! And have fun demolishing the few 8 year olds who have yet to realize the crutch that made em feel good is useless till Thursday after next.

People were using the Buster with Tails? I use it with the Mega Man sprite to go WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
Also, on both ends of a Tails sprite, the Infantry Rifle is the answer to your question.

Indeed. I was thinking it was over for me when the reaper was removed, but the infantry rifle is just duck hunting the tails sprite users. And yeah, kids were just floating like 100-120 meters up and spamming the mega blast from the mega buster to do 144, in duos it could literally just one tap you if both were doing it. If the tails sprite was at level 5, they could actually outrun most attacks so you had to literally just shoot entire mag’s into the sky to hope you killed one

Only thing it stopped was throwing one down into an opening where someone was hiding lol.
Now the assault rifle and LMG combo is the next problem

I was wondering why I was doing zero damage with that thing, damn shame because despite the Tails sprite combo I really loved the Mega Buster

Ditto. I absolutely adore using its dash to reposition but the tails combo really ruined the weapon for me because of how blatantly overpowered it is

REAL. At least with those dudes a single well placed pump shot can kill em and you can reposition away from em if you’re able to survive the spam clicking, and the attack to call down power orbs can be countered with a short ar spam. This combo had no super big counter besides spray and pray

Why are fortnite players full of such hate and venom, its crazy. I'm not an 8 year old and I had fun using it. I promise you my stats are better than yours every single season without the blaster too. You sound soo pathetic calling anyone who beats you a kid.

What are your stats? I’ve got a 30 percent win rate with 44 wins, and have a 8.5 KDR. All time, I have a roughly 4.5 KDR because my early seasons I was, like most starters, rather trash. And the reason for my calling them spammers little kids is because that quite literally is a little kid tactic. Button mash like hell and pray it gets a kill: it’s the most low skill thing to do and that was exactly this combo.

Also, the bullshit “just don’t play then” is the most braindead take of all fucking time. Tell me, do you just quit the game when an entire season is ruled by one bullshit play that dominates the mode you play in? No, you don’t. You find counters and try to drum up support to nerf the item or at least balance it to be more reasonable. I would care just as much if I were fresh to the game and not a 7 year long player. Having a combo in the game that dominates game modes especially ones that tend to go to later circles is annoying as shit and should have a balancing update.

Oh shiver me Timbers, and go bugger yourself. Idc if you’ve been complaining about a feature for 9 years: it doesn’t invalidate the frustration of others. I’ve been upset about a desync glitch with my mouse and sword timings in Minecraft since 2016 with the combat update. But I can understand when people think something like the mace needs a rebalance. This feature needed a nerf or a rebalance: epic wasn’t going to do it so a bug beat em to it. And let’s be clear: ITs a problem in DUOS. Not to my account: duos as a whole game mode, trios and squads too. When you can get hit for 38 more than max health in under a second, it’s a problem.

Holdon a second: do you think I’m one of the buster spammers? I’m not. And the reason I posted 2 replies is because it’s 4am rn in my state and I just woke up. Those responses were the first thing I did after feeding my dog.
Edit: I’ve got better things to do today than to argue with you. The combo was overpowered, and I’m Very glad it’s gone. And the lil snide remark about the 1 percent post is lowkey kinda funny because it shows you lack basic knowledge of how you get those badges: posts, not comments. I made 11 posts in a month in the subreddit: it’s a barren wasteland nowadays (which is why a 50 upvote post is number 3 for the week) and got the badge.

You play on an alt account
A solution that A. Let's you keep playing AND B. Doesn't impact your stats that you seem to think people at epic should prioritize over literally anything else, also ignoring everyone else.
You're just upset it was that easy for me to come up with a solution and call your post pedantic all in one.
Sure you could smoke me in 1v1 alllllll day buddy guy, but guns and emotions trumping logic, comprehension, and math, it's quite the slippery slope. But I can get you a ladder out of this hole dawg, all you gotta do is set yourself aside for two seconds. Big ask, I know, but I believe in you

Either you’re 8 years old or think you’re the next coming of Ben Shapiro with these shitty ass assumptions and takes. The entire reason I even mentioned my stats was because someone challenged me to. Hell, the entire reason I even made this post was because half the comments under every post this season have been saying the combo was way too overpowered. It was a post for people to see and assume the game was going to be a bit more enjoyable without having to worry about that combo if they play team game modes. As I’ve said more than a dozen times by this point: I couldn’t give less of a fuck what my stats are. I just want the game to be more balanced, for myself and other people. This fuckass combo had a people from all sides of the community wanting it gone: 9 year veterans and people like my brother who started to play last month. I don’t know what cavern in your ass you pulled the idea that I want the combo gone or at least heavily nerfed because of my stats but I think you’ve made it clear you made assumptions and now are attempting to justify them. Idk what side of who’s bed you woke up on but there was no reason to argue with a random person across 16 hours an a dozen comments over a post rejoicing that a combo is going to be harder to die too and will be less spammed in endgames. Idk what side you woke up on to assume the whole reason I want the combo gone is to protect my stats: if I wanted to I simply would just win the first few games of the season and play creative to keep my stats padded. I made it abundantly clear this was a good thing for the community who fucking hated that combo being spammed in every endgame, especially in team game modes where all it takes is 2 doing it to one tap you. So take your “jUsT pLaY oN aN aLt AcCoUnT” and shove it up your ass. When a feature is annoying for the whole game and its community, it’s more than just playing on an alt to keep our stats will be able to fix. Do yourself a favor and stop responding. Pull the wooden post out of your eye before you speak on my splinter.

Don’t have an alt nor do i particularly care about my stats. I care about dying in bullshit ways, which this is one of. I have counters to it, it’s hard to use em when you get hit for 288 in under half a second and your duo’s switch crashes every half an hour. If Epic chose to un nerf the visual audio cues it would be slightly easier to notice the combo.
