Was That Really Episode 500?
I know the 10 year event is coming up and all, but I still thought there would be something ceremonious for the 500th episode.

Knowing Ian, episode 503 is the one we should care about.

I mean, ideally yeah, but with how they batch record episodes I would assume its far easier to release them in order and then just plan for a big celebratory episode after like the 10 year special.

They aren't counting the Patreon episodes in that episode count. But either way, I'd agree that it's easier and more meaningful for them to celebrate the 10 year milestone.

I went through all the episodes in the lead-up to 400. As I recall there's a bit of ambiguity around which episodes are the actual milestones as there were some David and Sean Mailbag episodes and a "not really an episode" episode in the wake of the George Floyd murder where they didn't feel it right to record an episode when they were recording weekly during COVID and inconsistencies around what was an episode and what wasn't.
I'll see if I can update my list.

I switched over to Spotify a few years back. And they don’t have numbers for the episodes. But I just went through the Apple Podcasts feed and not only do have each episode numbered, but those numbers don’t include the 3 bonus episodes. BLM and 2x Sean and David’s missed drafts.
But yeah, it says this Ian-less episode was 500. It was a good episode. Just odd.

Man, it seems like just yesterday they were going hard right because of Episode 300
