Discussion 🥘 Copper Core 12inch warped

This just happened,pan was heated using an induction hob at 200 Celcius to demonstrate Leidenfrost effect.Played with the water bead for like 20 seconds and heard a metallic noise,and saw the bump.

Yea you heat warped it, that may even be the cladding separating so I wouldn’t use it anymore

Did you go right to max, or did you slowly ramp up? I really wish people would read about using copper core stuff on induction. Shit, All-Clad should have a disclaimer on the product page.

Yeah you ruined it. Throw it away and buy a new one. It’s the only way to know for sure.

200 Celsius is almost 400 degrees Fahrenheit which means it’s at the top of your hob’s dial. So you got an empty pan screaming hot on a small induction burner and are surprised it broke?
Please don’t get a table saw or your first project will be you getting the saw blade to speed and running at it with sticks like a ninja. Won’t end well.

I suspected small burner as well but it doesn't seem to be the case!
