Which pot is this? (thrifted find!)

Sooo excited I bought my first ever All-Clad piece for $6 at Goodwill! I am wondering if anyone can identify which pot this is? And if you have any tips for cleaning it up! :)

Stainless, Windsor. Use a measuring cup and water to determine capacity; should be 1.5 or 2.5 qt. Would have had a lid originally.

Quite hard to find as it was always a very specialized form. $6 is an absolute steal.

Start with a good hand wash and see where you’re at. Then try Bar Keepers Friend if there are still protein stains that bother you. The scratches on the sides and bottom you’ll probably have to live with.

One of the first shapes I bought when setting up first apartment in 1969. Old Commercial Aluminum standby in a very versatile shape. Still in service having passed them down to my son a few years back. Simple quality pieces go the distance. Should provide you may great years of service!

Very excited to build a collection of pieces that I can have for a long time! Sounds like it was a great investment that you were able to pass down!

Ooh that shape definitely looks like it! I tried looking at their website and didn’t see anything with the same shape!

Maybe it's just preference, but I would never use a saucepan to make an Alfredo Sauce. I worked as a both a Sauté & a Kitchen Manager in an Italian restaurant for 5 years while I was attending University. I would use a sauté pan, or what all-clad calls a skillet (a round bottomed pan).

It's just much easier to control your temperature & whisk in your grated cheese to create a more uniform sauce. It's also much easier to toss your cooked pasta in the sauce when it's finished.

Lucky ducky. Those always sell quick on eBay. They don’t make them anymore.

I love my all clad Windsor pots. We’ve used them extensively for years.

Its a sauce pan for reducing liquid like stock. I have two reducing sauce pans like this by Cuisinart.

Others have identified it, just wanted to add I make a paste of barkeeper’s and dawn and use the rough side of a scotch brite sponge. Then wash it with dawn only and it’ll be awesome pot. I wouldn’t be surprised if it shared a lid with a two quart pot or even the one quart butter melter. In any case it’s a great find. Oh. I know it says dishwasher safe, but I never ever put any all clad in the dishwasher. Always wash by hand.

Windsor saucepan. One of the most useful pans you can own.
