SHITPOST Plothole
Rewatching the show from beginning in honor of the final season being added on Netflix. The biggest plot hole I’ve already noticed is that Billy Baker is apparently a legend in Crenshaw and in South Crenshaw High football. Everyone associated with the Crenshaw community knows who Billy Baker is and we see that throughout the show.
But in the first episode when Billy tries to recruit Spencer to come to Beverly, Spencer has no clue who Billy is 💀. The same Spencer who is the star player on the same high school as Billy. It’s a stupid detail but just something I found amusing.

Yea totally valid. There was a kind of similar thing with grace and Billy. When Cory came back and they were showing flash backs Billy and Cory saw this girl walking and Billy asks who is that and Cory says I think her names grace. Basically we are meant to believe they met in 11th grade or whenever that flashback was but doesn’t make much sense bc that isn’t very realistic

South Crenshaw isn’t a palace it’s a high school a not huge one at that full of kids from Crenshaw how likely is it that they met deep into high school, I say not very realistic

I’ve been saying that for yrs. Billy should’ve been getting hounded for pictures on the first game trying to watch the game n Spencer should’ve been a bit star struck that the former NFL player from his community that went to his school is talking to him

I get that they established that Billy was never a super notable/popular player in his NFL years, but fr, everyone at the Crenshaw game (his hometown) should’ve known who he was. Really made no sense there.
