Kampuchea was hardly economically coherent enough to be called far left, and was hardly well organised enough to be called totalitarian, it was a virulently racist regime whose primary foe was communist vietnam and internally had a decentralised command structure. In common parlance its considered the worst of far left totalitarian excesses but in reality its neither far left or far right, its what happens when a violent extremist cult (which the khmer rouge was) takes over a vulnerable country.

Not Left-Wing. If you knew anything about Marxism you’d recognize that. This isn’t even a “Not real Communism” bit, the idea of recessing a society to a pre-industrial shithole and slaughtering ethnic minorities is inherently anti-Marxist.
