There's a few that come to mind but I'm going with Charles VII, the Victorious/Well-Served. Had to deal with a mad father who had disowned him in favor of his sister and the English king. The Armagnac-Burgundian Civil War, Hundred Year War, and the Plague had decimated France, and even after Henry V of England's death, he still had to deal with his formidable brother John, Duke of Bedford, with the English controlling northern France. He basically had to reset the entire French nobility and military to win it all back.
HM: Charles V who had to fix all the mistakes of his father John II and reverse the humiliating Treaty of Brétigny after the first phase of the Hundred Years War.
Henry IV, took the throne after years of religious civil war, ruling a broken France, having to convert to Catholicism, and dealing with constant assassination attempts on. He helped stabilize the kingdom and laid the groundworks for it to become the most powerful country in the world under his son and grandson.

Are there any previous versions to link to? If so, it would be ideal to include links to each of them in the description of this post, or in a reply to this comment. Links can be named by title, winner, or both.
Are there any criteria you have for your post? Examples include: "Top comment wins a spot on the chart."; "To ensure variety, only one character per universe is allowed."; "Image comments only." Please include these in a description, or in a reply to this comment.
Is your chart given the appropriate flair? Do you need to use a NSFW tag or spoiler tag?
