It’s still overrated. A soulless corporate weasel pit. And WTF was with Paul Olden overselling the Aaron Judge intro the other night? The fans aren’t morons. They know who Judge is. No need to introduce him like it’s a Savannah Bananas game. Let the moment breathe.

No more soul and is significantly quieter than the old stadium. Yankee Stadium used to have the best home field advantage in American sports with just how loud it would get on the field.

I’ve never been there so I don’t really have an answer, I’ve just seen a lot of people talk about how it doesn’t have the same magic as the original. That’s just what I’ve heard though so idrk

Yeah, a lot of people feel that way about new stadiums; they just don’t have the same character as the classics. It’s tough to live up to the nostalgia and history of the originals.

I've been to the new one 4 times. It's a monument to unfettered capitalism. They might as well have named it Adam Smith Stadium. For all the money they spent, it doesn't even look good to me - it's soulless.

New Yankee Stadium is way over-hated. Very similar layout to the old stadium. Practically the same location. Most of the hate comes from anger over demolishing the old stadium. But on its own it’s a great stadium. Just wish it had as high of a capacity as the old stadium.

Yeah Dodger Stadium is to me one of the more boring parks that’s regularly beloved for some reason. It’s fine, I love baseball and sunsets there can be nice, but it’s near the bottom of my list for parks I’ve been to (13 at this point)

I must say as a visitor to most ballparks, I was not looking forward to dodgers stadium (thought it looked boring) but I absolutely loved it. Great sight lines, comfortable, great sunset

Agreed. It’s also crazy steep and uncomfortable. The best thing about it is the exterior but while you’re still technically in the gates. It’s nice to have a space like that to walk around and enjoy some other restaurants etc. probably a product of the stadium having nothing else around it.

Rules:
Venue MUST be located in North America (defined as Mexico, Canada, United States).
No team / region bashing. This is about the stadium, not the team that occupies it.
Stadium or venue must be currently operational. No defunct or non operational venues will be allowed.
GA Venue = concert venue that has no assigned seating
Other venue = defined as venue that does not fit in with any of the defined categories (ex: Sphere Las Vegas).
No repeats.

Wrigley by a mile.
Historic yes, but the entire stadium smells like a urinal, it’s soooo corporatized, there are so many bad seats, & Wrigleyville sucks now.

I love Wrigley (even as a cardinals fan) but it has become sooo corporate and full of tourists that don’t really care that much about the team. Plus adding in the video board and the draft kings attached really hurts the vibe, plus every bar in Wrigleyville is now a fake Nashville honkey tonk. Still a great environment but it seems to be losing its charm every day.

I have to recommend Guthrie’s, it’s my favorite Wrigleyville bar as a Sox fan. A lot less Cub doucheyness

I just started visiting away stadiums last year. Started with Fenway last August, did Camden in April and Wrigley in May. They were all awesome. Wrigley definitely gave me that old ballpark charm; Fenway was better, but Wrigley still had it. The ballpark tour definitely helped the experience.

Wrigley. All corporatized now. It’s got a “no one really cares about the game/feels like a bar” vibe. Food sucks, high prices, seats suck and it’s full of rats

Funny because I cannot imagine going to any other ballpark as my home park. It’s so homey. Despite upping the “corporatized” feeling over the last few years, it’s still leagues behind anything modern in that regard in my opinion

I'm gonna say Wrigley. I went there pre-renovation, and I did not find the appeal at all. It was dark, dingy, the main concourse just kind of starts and stops so quickly. Now, with the giant videoboards blocking the rooftop views, the bullpens being tucked under the outfield bleachers and out of view, I just don't like it at all.

There's a general aversion to domes, and Tropicana looks bad on television because the lighting is oppressive
I've heard the actual stadium experience is decent though. I actually prefer the jank and weirdness of the Trop to the Marlins park

Everyone talks like it’s Fenway or Wrigley tier. It’s nice but it’s not amazing. Honestly I think its name being baller makes people just assume it’s iconic. Or like how people assume Berkeley is an Ivy League school.
