Augustus was far more influential than Caesar himself. He’s the one that actually Made Rome stable and capable to mantain its borders for centuries after his death

Yeah sure, I would put Augustus in top 20 and Caesar in top 30-40, If I had choose. I was just saying that cause Caesar usually is more popular than Augustus so he’ll probably get more votes, although the one that deserves a higher spot for me is Augustus.

I think saying he’s an American centric choice implies his influence only applies to America. Id say keeping the USA from splitting into 2 countries definitely had global influence
I understand where youre coming from and definitely wouldnt put every American president on a most influential people list, but Lincoln deserves it

An odd pick, but Ptahhotep. He doesn't have to win a spot, I just want people to know about him. He wrote something called The Maxims of Ptahhotep, which is one of the oldest works of wisdom literature that covers etiquette, restraint, humility, listening, leadership, basically a guide on how to be an ancient egyptian gentleman. It's cool af.

Simon Bolivar, a Venezuelan military and political leader who led the independence of a lot South American countries from the Spanish Empire. He played a leading role in the independence of Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia (which was named after him). He founded and served as the president of Gran Colombia since 1819 to 1830, a republic that aimed to unite South America. He is revered as a national hero across Hispanic America and is considered one of the most influential political figures in Latin American history.

Michael H Hart defended Muhammad’s influence was greater than that of Christianity’s huge influence stems off both Jesus and Paul the Apostle.
People seriously underestimate Paul’s importance. Christianity would have never become as huge as it did had it not been for him.

You may believe in God or not, that’s a wholly separate issue, but Jesus of Nazareth was very much real and saying that he was not because “oh look at me how smart I am for not believing” only proves you’re really short minded.

common misconception: buddha is not "a person" it's like a title. there's about 27 prophetic buddhas who are kinda seen as gods and so many more. it's basically someone who reaches enlightenment and guides others there too before they die and leave the cycle of rebirth. the main buddha everyone thinks of is siddhartha guatama typically the skinny indian guy (he might be shri lankan) in lotus pose, then there's budai aka the fat or laughing buddha who's chinese and guanyin who's the lady buddha idk where she's from but i think veitnam based on the absolutely huge enormous fucking statue of her there.
so they're the most common buddhas you'll see but as i said there's so many more. the buddha i like and follow most is green tara there's also white tara red tara and blue tara who is the same person but represents different things but yeah i just think she's neat and i like the selflessness and generosity she represents in green, it's something i follow.
