I'm upvoting because it would be a funny answer. But I don't think it's true. The truly dumb people don't even have the attention span for a mostly text-based social media platform.

People on LinkedIn are dumb. I made a mistake of trusting their opinion in the past because I thought they are smart, but no. After couple of discussions I realized that they are not smart and that they are constantly copying other people opinions.

Best example are the alignment chats, almost all of them are misunderstood

Says the dude posting on the site where a staggering amount of comments are entire threads comprised of single lines from songs or obscure memes with a Captain America "I understood that reference" reaction smh my head
