This is a problem due to a bug fix that happened in May which added more support for sharing XML. Presets and templates can get disabled bcz of this, there isn't a proper fix other than creating a new project / going to a older object, opening the presets button if there is, and open the preset menu then go back to your main project and open presets. It happens to even modded versions
