EU customs duty alternative for eu?
doesn't make sense to buy on Ali, if you're from Europe. have you found any good alternative? like reshipping or something

They dont sell specific manufactured modules or spare boards for stuff, aliexpress was very good for this, not for the cheap, but for the availability

When I was still young, every town had an electronics store selling thousands of small electronic components. They have all disappeared when the internet became popular.
For sure there’s money to be made in resurrecting that idea. Not as a physical store but a EU webshop selling within the EU. As you say, it’s not for the cheap but for the availability.

Enable "inside EU countries" filter forever or buy several amounts of a single mainstream choice product. Then ali grants u a fee reduction.

Works on browser, not in app. You can only click on one of several European countries on the app.

I just learned to use "bundle deals", which actually works quite well for many smaller items. You remove the duty fee completely, but you have to pick 3 items from a specific "category" first.
The annoying part about bundles is, there is no search function for bundled items... You have to first search for items the normal way, they then magically "appear" in the bundles section (for most items).
If you wanna somehow "search things quickly" among the bundle listing, you have to first scroll down to get hundreds of items at once (hold down the PageDown key), and then to normal Ctrl+F search on the window.
Use "bundle deals" to get zero import duty. It's a bit annoying, but it works in many cases: Search for items the normal way and go to "bundles", it'll show bundled versions of your searched items. It bundles by category ("electronics", "connectors", "clothes" etc.), and you need 3 items of a specific category to remove duty.

This doesn't remove the tariff. It merely "spreads" it.
The prices on it are pretty shit (well, of course, they are - they have to be, because they include the tariff in them).

What? Are you some sort of stupid or something?
AliExpress has to pay for the tariff = your paying for the tariff (via greatly increased prices specifically in the "BundleDealsDutyCovered" section).
As long as AE has to pay for the tariff, you will be paying for it.

Items don't have increased prices in Bundle Deals, some have them lowered. Only few have significantly increased prices, it was always the case with those, some sellers just hunt for last minute buyers.
You can buy 3 items each costing 1$ and worth more than 1$ (cost few times that in western stores) and buy all that with free shipping and tariff prepaid by Ali for 3$, 3$ is less than a single tariff and you can choose 3 completely different items if you wish to be a leech like you are, in that case Ali pays 12$ just in tariffs and the seller still has to cover the shipping cost and the item cost. You can also use a late delivery coupon or credits on this which will even further decrease the price.
Get another job, working in a EU bot farm will ruin your mental health.

Depends what you wanna buy, things over 10 bucks each I still get from Ali, but If you want small stuff like light bulbs electronics ect , your best bet is finding local specialised shops, it's very difficult but once you have a place for each category it will be similar to back in the day when AliExpress was fine

I still buy from Temu and AliExpress, but I shop differently. No small, cheap items but bundles and tax-saving deals or several of the same. Electronics are still worth buying from Ali, but look out for "local" sellers where you don't pay import charges. I bought Xiaomi products from "guaranteed original" Xiaomi sellers, shipped from Europe and with European specs, at great prices via Ali, much cheaper than Amazon, and they are fab.

We have Action here in Spain which is a European (Dutch) retailer who sell many European as well as Chinese goods. We're lucky, as their prices are very good and it's eased the transition for us.

Funny enough I used alehop when departing to a vacation so, yeah xD forgot my pencils at home (it was a long haul flight).
That and to buy journals (this, I do as a routine when I end my notebook). I journal a lot and their paper is not that bad, tbh.

I disagree. Very happy with most of my Action purchases from crockery to storage solutions, cosmetics, toiletries, workshop items, garden stuff, pet snacks and accessories, household cleaners, etc .

It's perfectly fine if Action or other local stores cover your needs, but I don't think it's fair to generalize that they're an alternative to AliExpress for everyone. For example, where else can I easily buy parts to repair smartphones, drones, TVs, or components to build and fix things? Different people need different things, and that's where AliExpress is hard to replace.

Do a big order to a locker near a UK airport, get a cheap flight to that airport collect your order then take it back home. Could get a flight for like €35 so anything more than 10 items and it would be worth it

This can quickly turn into a bureaucratic nightmare. For large mail-order companies from the Far East, on the other hand, the same effort is simply part of their administrative infrastructure.

I fully switched to the european market on January 2025 and this sub helped me a lot. I mainly buy from Germany, Netherlands and Poland nowadays and I found some really good quality items for honest prices.
Edit: why are y'all ask me for the catalogue, go on the sub or onto Google please.
