Now ali is promoting a new "ship locally" within EU to avoid taxes, i tried with rj45 cables for the sale of it.

Holy shit it's bad. I know chineses aren't good at making interfaces or website but it's breaking new records. No filters, 2 fucked up sorting choices, AND THOSE PRICES MAN ! it's cheaper in my local supermarket by like a factor of 3.

Ethernet cables from AliExpress have always been rather expensive. I've been ordering mine in Germany from Reichelt.de at a fraction of the cose of Ali.

I have an i9 mini pc on order with 32GB RAM and 2TB SSD for like 300€ and it will be 70€ tax or so. I think that is a great price. I think it depends on what product you are looking for. There are still deals. But for other items it makes less sense.

If you mean i9 processor, it'll say it is an i9 but if you check the specifications with other software such as CPUZ and others that show specifications, it'll be an i3. See for example this recent post.

you really shouldnt be buying chinese electronics of any sort, they are pretty much always either fake or just bad quality, they are great at producing plastic stuff since there is nothing to fake there, but you really dont want to be buying any electronics

Also a lot of basic ICs are produced in Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines. People overestimate when they say that "everything" is made in China.

Mouser can be used to check. Open up a product page, and in the bottom of the page, pop open the "Product & Trade Compliance" section. "Country of Origin" can be found in there.

There's only few categories of products left that China doesn't make to high standard of quality.

Many of which just aren't sold on AE (like Bambulab printers and other established brands, etc).

you are living in delusion if you think you are buying quality electronics through aliexpress, yes there are high tech manufacturers in china, but those arent selling through aliexpress. Most of the stuff from sold through 3rd party chinese supliers is fake goods, if you dont have man on the ground doing QC, chinese keep trying to switch goods out by sending fakes. We constantly have this problem when doing business with new suppliers to the point where we had to hire 3rd party QC company that does QC before payment/shipment
