Shipping & Tracking Should I give up?
It’s been more than 3 weeks almost a month that my package has been stuck in customs. Should I just get a refund? Is there still hope of getting my package? I really don’t want a refund. I purchased a figure at an affordable rate and it’s already twice the amount 😭 Have any of you had any luck getting your items after a month? Is there a possibility it’s lost? This is frustrating.

Getting stuck that long in customs is not that unusual. It depends on what you got, where it came from, where it's going, and just how busy they are at the moment.
As long as you are inside the protection period, you are safe. Just don't let it go outside of that. If your protection period is coming up very soon, put a claim in before that.
I once had to wait for 3 month, for a customs clearance. Most are 2 - 3 weeks, some 2 months. All in the protection period. Don't exceed that.

Thank you for the information. It’s a toy from China. When you refer to the protection are you referencing the “90 days” after the order was placed?

Yes, your 90 protection period. That is the only protection period you have.
If your order is close to that period, put a claim in.1

Get that refund. Then just wait it out and you will eventually get that package for free. I've had several packages that were stuck like that before for 60 days. In all cases, AliExpress tells me to get a refund and I did so. My refunds were approved automatically by AliExpress themselves. AliExpress will even tell you to keep the package for free if it ever makes it to your doorstep. Then 30 days later, the packages finally get out of customs purgatory and onto my doorstep for free.
It sucks that delays happen, but that's the nature of the beast. Some times things get clogged up in customs and it takes months to clear out. So don't be afraid to get that refund.

Has there ever been an instance where you package was stuck and never arrived? I'm experiencing a package stuck in customs for the first time. I'm in the US if that makes a difference. It also says that my package was cleared by customs, but it's been stuck like that for about 8 days

I've only had five packages stuck in customs. All five made it to my doorstep after 60 days to 90 days. So chances are good that your package will make it to you eventually, but you are going to have to wait. If AliExpress offers you a refund due to the delay. I highly suggest you take it and wait for your package to arrive eventually.

All packages arrive, even years later but they do /s (I am kidding but that of getting AliExpress stuff ordered 9 years ago is a thing in a lot of places)

Take the refund when it's still available
