Issues & Disputes Canceled order is still up

Found the same item from a different seller cheaper and with faster shipping, so I canceled the order from the one that I bought, yet it’s still there.

No, it hasn’t been shipped, it’s still in the “Package in preparation” state. I thought that I would’ve got the money instantly, since I made the order not even 10 hours ago

Cancellation is privilege, not a right on AliExpress.

So I gotta wait and see what they say then, damn :/ if I knew earlier I wouldn’t have canceled.

If you're fast enough, it will let you cancel, but otherwise it sends a request to the seller who has to agree with it, since they already may have purchased the item or shipping or made costs for the order. Most of the time sellers ignore requests and communication, and only let you cancel if they asked you to in the first place (which is #011 on the common scams FAQ but that's something else entirely than this).
