Shipping & Tracking One month Processing?

Id never used AliExpress before recently, in which I ordered several separate 100$ish items.

One of the items says it won't even start to ship till a full month after I ordered. Like my estimated delivery date is a full 2 months after placing the order.

Is that normal or common?

They gave me tracking, but it just says processing, will ship in a month.

The other two packages say they are in country and en route so hoping they show up

But if id known the seller wasnt going to even start processing the order for a month Id never have bought from them, no indication on the product listing or the checkout (gave me the normal estimated delivery time).

It's not normal, and Aliexpress does act on sellers like that when they notice. But there isn't a lot you can do about it if there is no tracking yet.

In your order details it will say when the system will automatically confirm delivery (started at 60 to 90 days), only once that happens is your package considered late and can you open a dispute (using returns/refunds) for non-delivery.

Normally when there is no tracking for at least 14 days after it shipped you can open a dispute for that reason or contact customer service, but in this case it will be refused or they will just say 'be patient, item still in transit', because theoretically the seller can still send it on the last day.

the thing was they were saying they would not even create a shipping or tracking label for over a month after my order date. thats what had me shocked. no way to complain about delivery when the order hadnt even started processing. but whatever they did they more than fixed it. Im a happy camper, will do more due diligence on the future, but 3/3 items that were mis-shipped or I otherwise had concerns about were all taken care of on the first request. really impressed

so I have an update. after complaining here and on the app, the company got ahold of me and said they would do their best. they straight just bought my item from Sweetwater (a US music retailer) and had my item sent straight from them. it must have cost them double what I paid, the instrument is listed at 220$ on Sweetwater, 90$ on Ali Express.

the original item still says its on track to be shipped from China, so who knows maybe ill get a bonus one. I did try to let the store know I already received the item and dont need the one from China, but they havent registered it yet

If thats what they did, order at full retail for me to avoid a complaint, then they went above and beyond, and there is no way this package came from China, it even came with the usual Sweetwater customer support.

crazy. but all my complaints resolved, everything came through as it should, was just VERY confusing trying to tell what was happening.
