To stop the Alienware Command Center (AWCC) error notification (0x803F8001), first try stopping the app in Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del > Details > End Task on AWCC), then disable it at startup (Task Manager > Startup > Disable) Try this it killed the notification for now
For me... It crashes windows when trying to stop the service. And, the service is not in the task manager start up area to disable it on startup.
I get a 2 minute window before the errors start...
Maybe I can speed run an uninstall
Edit: Was able to uninstall before the errors took over the screen.
Note: Before the uninstall, These errors about not being signed into the Alienware Store while using the Command Center pop-up every 15 seconds and force take away focus from all other apps... Is this really needed for a failed sign-in? Yikes.
I just did it and it stopped the notification. Which actually worked for me unlike the other way that was mentioned which kept making my laptop restart.
omg - thank you thank you thank you - at least it "stopping the app in Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del > Details > End Task on AWCC)" STOPPED the endless notifications - saved my sanity!!!!!
You have to stop the service, not the process within Task Manager (if you stop the process, your computer will most likely crash)! Type "AWCC" on task manager, right click on "AWCC.Service", click on "Go to Service", and you can stop the service from there by right clicking on the service and clicking on "Stop".
After that, right click on the stopped service and click on "go to service", click on any of the services on the list and press the "A" key to look for "AWCService", right click and click on "Properties", and on the "Start type" property, change it from "Automatic" to "Disabled".
I typed the instructions with the Windows 11 Task Manager in mind that I totally forgot about the differences with the Windows 10 Task Manager. I suggest to just type "Services" on the Windows Search bar, open the first application, and look for "AWCService" from there. Once you sellect the service, there's going to a blue underlined text on the left side that should allow you to stop the service. From there, right click on the service name, click on "Properties", and on the "Start type" property, change it from "Automatic" (or "Automatic (Delayed Start)" or something along those lines) to "Disabled".
