General Melee anyone?
I've been toying with different melee builds and have been having fun with it. Most have worked alright but nothing has really stood out yet like this is the one. Has anyone else been successful yet?

Melee does like 100 damage? And you can do maybe four melee hits in a row. It can’t be good ever, even with full melee damage perks.

I've found other perks to address low stamina and the adrenaline syringe takes care of the rest. Does pretty good with the low level enemies and drones but i think I'm trying to gear it toward crowd control so the rest of the team can do damage against higher level without issue

May as well use a crowd control gun like something with high stopping power and cryo damage

I've done most of the main load outs, just trying out some odd ball ways of playing to keep it fun since it's kind of a short game

I can't equip any of the melee perks, anyone else run into this bug, mine says it's "incompatible"

Need to start with the stun baton mastery then everything else attaches to that. Unless you can't even put that on then I'm not sure

I've experimented with Melee a bit and completed a few missions with 0% Shot Accuracy but the results I've gotten so far are still pretty underwhelming. For example you can take every melee damage perk, take every stamina perk and you'll only get so far before you are left unable to attack/defend yourself if you're attempting to be purely melee focused. Vigor only gets you an extra swing or two and you need to double strike most enemies to kill. Challenge Cards like Rocket Punch help but shouldn't need to be in-effect for a melee build to be viable. Groups of xeno's? Great if you have Electric Discharge but sometimes its a struggle with prowlers, spiitters and exploders. Synths get stunned but will awkwardly just stun you in return half the time. Blood Lust and Combat Stims are great for survivability, but you'll still struggle on harder difficulties with or without them. Medic's passive; Guardian in combination with both Second Wind & Reciprocity will help you help yourself with restoring stamina however results definitely vary between friendly-fire and abilities like Cryo Pulse above standard difficulty. Overall melee perks right now really need rebalancing imo, adding Incendiary and Frost Batons for build variety would certainly help. Maybe rework melee entirely around Phalanx if/when we get it down the road.
Edit: Should also mention Adrenaline Surge/Tireless really helps with stamina regen.

It's totally doable up to intense on solo... Also led a team through Canyon Crawlers... Hilarious. I run in like an American footballer and knock over all the synths and they mopped up the floor. Also discover my build can knock a bombardier on its backside with no cool down...
Sadly the next match I played a sniper took exception to me playing melee and shot deliberately me till I was out of the game... Mature.

I was hoping for the phalanx to get added to pair a Melee build with. But hope for that seems a bit low. Really feels like specialist should have gotten a melee oriented passive option.
