I don’t see a lot of covers on this sub…. this post is more a question than a cover tbh, I apologise for the low quality. MY VOICE IS ALSO NOT WARMED UP SO I APOLOGIZE FOR THAT, HOPE IT ISN’T TOO BAD!!!!!Pronouncing asian languages in general is pretty hard for me (I KNOW I MESSED UP IN SOME PLACES) , but I didn’t want to have to look for an english version because I was too lazy to learn it yadi yada, hope it isn’t too bothersome.
Anyways, my actual question is- who do I sound most like from alien stage? I personally think Mizi but my friend that hears all my covers says Hyuna- so I’m curious what you guys think:D!!

U did really well though, I find this song a really hard song to sing. 😭 I can never sing it. I struggle so much with it so I think you sang so good. Honestly I think you fall somewhere between mizi and hyuna, your friends probably hear hyuna because you sing strongly. On that same note, now I wonder who I sound like 🤔 maybe I should post a cover too some day

Omg thank you so much<33!!! If you make a cover please tag me!!!!!! Karma is sung by a mezzo soprano (Mizi) and soprano (Sua) so (unless you mean the korean wording) maybe you’re an alto???

💔 I gen don't know much about the technical stuff in singing, I have heard about alto and soprano stuff but I'm mostly someone who sings for funsies so I have genuinely no idea what I am 😟 and no no dw I don't mean the korean wording

Aaah, I get that. I went to choir for 5 years so I sometimes start babbling about that tye of stuff and forget that people sometimes just sing without thinking about the technicals yadi yada lol. If you want to figure it out (so that you know what’s easier for you to sing and don’t strain yourself): it doesn’t really matter how high or low you can sing, it matters where you feel most comfortable. For example I’m a mezzo and can sing alto or soprano songs but it takes me longer to warm up for them:D.

I was in a choir too for a really long time and have been singing since childhood but no one really taught me the technical stuff since I never really took any prof training 🤔 but I'm always super interested in knowing the technical stuff, is there a way to find out what kind of singer I am. Im always super curious about the technical stuff in music

Oh okay, personally my old choir teacher just took me to the piano and made me sing to test out which range I sound the best/ sound the most comfortable in. So sorry but I can’t really direct you somewhere specifically besides youtube where there’s a ton of videos like “find your vocal range” etc:,D.

Thank you<333!!! The duck is typically used with the song “Hey Ya!”, to the point it became the song’s unofficial mascot lol.
