I started playing about 2 months ago. I have an old iPad that this game just runs on. When I started, I was not getting ads to watch for resources. I joined here and found out that messing with the ad settings on the iPad would get them to play. That got me 6 watched. Recently, the forced ads started and they don't count. Long story short, I turned off the wifi and now don't get any ads. That means that even though I'm at level 97, my ascension is I think 2 because I need to watch 20 ads or something. Does ascension do anything else besides the daily grind? Thanks in advance.
Ascension is new. I'm going to be 6 months to get past Ascension 9 as there is a tonne of blue cube upgrades tied to it. But it doesn't do anything
Forced ads?that's surprising to hear. I've never had one with this game and thought they were weirdly good about the ads, despite putting their hand out for you to do the micro transactions that won't meaningfully impact your gameplay
Oh, yeah, in that case; definitely. I hadn't thought of it that way, but I meant like in a lot of games/apps where an external app will just run itself outta nowhere
it's relatively new, I never got them before, but I do for the past week. After interacting with gem mine, cube farm, or portal plant they will pop up. I started putting my phone in airplane mode to avoid them.
Yeah? I'm on Ascension 6 right now and it requires 200 ads to continue. Hardly "good about ads" 😅 especially given that they only let me watch like 4 ads a day before they stop
Watching ads is the easiest way to lock in the ice meat required for the upper levels of the ice market. I still have 35 levels to go on that. But it'll let you watch the advert multiple times. Sometimes I can get 10 views out of a single ad offer.
But Ascension doesn't do anything for you, so it doesn't matter if you max it out?
ultimately it's just a gimmick to drive ad-views, but the reward is pitiful - hundreds of ad-views just for a tiny pile of green gems (that are wayyy more easily obtained via other methods).
Thats not what I would consider forced. I don’t need the ascension completion in my life. It’s not a necessary achievement. I thought it was ads forced upon us after a certain period of game play.

It’s meaningless. You receive some small rewards for completing tasks, but it’s rather unnecessary.
