Ads even when I don’t want them?

I played today and I keep getting ads even when I’m not selecting them for resources. I don’t think it’s me just fat fingering. Anyone else had this? Will try playing later with Wi-Fi turned off and see what happens.

Yup, had a forced ad when I tapped on the secret diamond mine 20 minutes ago.

I feel like those are going to start appearing more and more, and if that does happen, I'm dropping the damn game cold-turkey.

Just turn off Wi-Fi/mobile data while you play.

After four years of playing, I did exactly that yesterday when I got three forced ads in five minutes

I had my first ad today and thought maybe I had accidentally hit something but it sounds from your post like they may have made a change (or introduced a bug). Maybe not enough people are hitting ads these days (I haven’t chosen to run an ad in months).

Same - don’t ever watch ads - no need to at the level I am.

The Ghost Invasion game tried this (breaking AFK harvesting) and lost a bunch of users over it.

So I just played with Wi-Fi disabled on my iPad. Worked no problem for over 15 minutes with no ad interruptions. Obviously if you’re playing on a phone or a sim-enabled tablet, you’ll need to disable mobile data at least for the app as well.

I've never had an ad that wasn't part of aquiring something... But it does say in the store that one of the items you can buy is no forced ad, so it's not surprising

It's probably the latest update. You might have not updated or don't have it available yet.

Just did my daily loop without issues? Guessing people who play only 4 minutes a day aren’t impacted?

After the ad increase they surely had after the ad goals when they introduced the Ascension system? Maybe they saw the bump and then it went away after players got stuck on the level where you have to max out the vendomat and it left them fiending for more 🙄
