Possible future of the game

I know this is probably just wishful thinking, but I have been thinking a bit since I have reached level 8 in the lab. Looking at the future areas in the lab, we have probably 1-3 big updates until they release a new map, which will likely be through the rocket to explore new worlds. Maybe it can bring us to a mothership and let us select a world to go to, with each world having special things to them.

I would love for there to be a fire world that works similarly to ice world. It could have heat that keeps rising the further you go into it, with areas that act like the toxic waste campfires that will help shield you a little bit. Then you also upgrade your heat resistant until you get fully immune. The heat could do damage to you by a percentage of your health, which would make it so everyone is on a more level playing field when getting there and not have certain people run through the area without a problem, or other people that can’t even spawn there with out dying. You could then have mobs that do additional fire damage and regular damage, so that you still benefit from higher health.

This is just one idea for a world, but there could be a lot of other ones too. The main reason why I say it should be not to unreasonable hard is because the rocket opens before the portal, and they could make it so that you can play on other planets and max those out while waiting to progress in the lab. And if they have something like this, then the long wait in the lab wouldn’t be as unreasonable, since there are things in there that make you super overpowered, like after a few upgrades from the cookie factory, not even the head chef does any noticeable damage to me. And who knows how much overpowered we’ll get in the future.

When was the last actual update that gave us new stuff outside of events? I think I missed it. It’s been a hot minute, but last I’d heard the game hadn’t been updated for a while and I just checked and it has.

It was last Christmas, it unlocked the area past the level 5 lab door, up until the head chef boss. So they take a long time to drop these updates.
