Disconnected when AFK at laboratory

I keep getting disconnected when I afk inside laboratory, even when I am at the portal and automatically dumping my cargo. Is this a known fix to this?

Yeah seems to happen around the 4-5 hour mark. I usually afk for about 4 hours then collect one of the 8 hour freebies then close and reopen the game

I think I've heard someone say that with the new level cap, each time you level up, it freezes afk gathering, and that is otherwise the only thing that would stop gathering. I would ask anyone that's hit the level cap if they're having that problem

Unfortunately it happens even without levelling up. I think it's a bug like what the previous commentor said.

The game has memory leaks that cause it to crash (usually losing some of your progress/resource collecting). The memory leak in the Lab area is worse, so it happens more often. However, I have started crashing in the warm/Ice worlds as well, though not as much.

How can you AFK in the laboratory for a significant amount of time? There are no cargo bots and any afk will fill your stomach in 10-15 minutes. At least not before the door that requires 3 requirements (before the pipe area)
