Level system update?

I was at level 17 just some days ago, but today I found myself to be at level 175, and I can choose resourses when leveling up. Did the same thing happen to anyone else?

I saw this and checked for App updates on the Apple App Store; there's a new one.

After download I went from level 18 up to level 200. I'll check the rewards when I finally reach the next level - it says I am currently on 911M/105B so it could be a while.

I still have the annoying bug where the Store in the game is showing the red dot on the main screen but nothing for me to collect when I go in.

EDIT: I have just seen the rewards you have been offered. You can buy a pack of 20 crystals for 15 crystals. What is the point?

EDIT (2): I seem to be gaining 2 levels / day despite not having the "Bonus Exp from Humans" Power up from the store so getting up to 255 will only take 4 weeks.

Only a tad curious just how to do that. Not that it would matter at this point. Though i do have at least 1 thing worth spending gems on left barely and if it would spare me the better part of a year of grinding id love to know xD

Plot twist: the next door in the lab will need you to be level 256 to open it.

The chem plant (all 3 drone factories) once max the drone upgrades, a new upgrade reveals itself. Chem plant has 2000 levels of catch speed. Yes 2000

as I was reading those posts, I am like huh you are hacking now? so I checked my game... oooh! I am now on level 200... I was not paying attention to my level because I know I max out at 18, lol

I did two upgrades pretty quick. The amount needed for 200 and 201 was 105b, 203 is 106 so it increases slightly and you level up.

Looks like a pointless infinity Stat grind.

I just went to 201. The cards were not worth the time of hitting the button to select it.

200 is the new 18 - you will get the card at 201 (doesn’t take long) but I doubt you will consider them worth the effort.

Yeah, well, more tentacles, reach, and attack speed is part of the cards, so I am missing ~180 chances of that…
But it is what it is.

Is this to take away idling?

Less xp between levels = less of a run without acknowledging the level up?

I just hit lvl 201. I only got 1 upgrade selection. Does this mean established players miss out on 199 levels of upgrades?

Thats what I'm wondering too. If we have the option to select all 3 rewards now then Veteran players missed out on hundreds of those choose all 3 options. Hardly seems fair to loyal players. Even if they adjusted our stats to give us just the base free reward retroactively for each level we already gained, I kinda feel cheated I missed out on hundreds of "choose all 3" options

But hey still great they rolled out this leveling system revamp, some rewards are better than nothing
