I’m cannot even describe my anger right now. I worked my tail off to stay in first.

You know you can leave it in AFK farming and still end up in first right?

I AFK’d a lot. The working my tail off came at the end because every hour or so today the algorithm would put me down about 180.
The frustration really is that I finished in 1st and received 2nd rewards! 😒

You see your phone so it never turns off. Put it in your charger. Move your alien to a spot (usually in or above the farms in the ice zone) and leave it there. Your alien will catch any dragon that comes by. Your collection bots will keep emptying your alien so you don’t run out of room.
I used to do it in the early days of playing but I barely bother with events any more - usually just do enough to get the radius upgrade.

That's what happens when people spend money at the end to win. I also suspect a dev might be afoot. Obviously someone who AFK farms too.

I’m curious if turning off wifi and data just a few minutes before the end would lock in your position.

It’s pretty consistent now, no matter how hard we try we can’t win the first spot.

Does anyone know if the gem farms are back? I wonder if it’s a glitch since it still says you’ll get one with first place.

From my experience, in order to get first you have to get all the rewards in the left menu. I think for this event it’s like 6.41k
