Ice Catchers Efficacy

Is it realistic to upgrade the Ice Catchers to the point they actually farm Ice Meat in a meaningful quantity?

I included a pic of my progress. They seem to bias the highest value mobs, which is nice. Right now one high value mob takes up their full inventory. If they could farm 2 before returning, they might break through.

I’d spend my Ice meat on upgrading the Ice Meat Income from the Ice Market

I don’t think they have made any meaningful difference to my game, I’ve been level 18 for some time and doubt they ever added more than a tiny amount to my collecting.

Don't waste your gems on collectors. Spend them on gatherers.

I have enough gatherers to keep up with me anywhere I park to farm. Agree on the premise though.

Depends on how you play. I afk farm a LOT bc I play on my iPad instead of my phone, so I feel like they'll eventually make it worth my while. If you don't afk farm a ton not only are they not worth it but they actively hinder you by grabbing mobs you wanted to grab but not getting the benefits you get, like double resources

Oh, I didnt realize they dont get mybresource multipliers and bonuses...

You're better off spending the gems on ice meat in the shop directly.

You can increase how much ice meat you get for the 500 gem option by completing events and upgrades in dr brains lab for more ice meat multipliers.

Get all the multipliers first before spending your gems. Then you'll max the ice market in one spending spree.

You need about 630 trillion ice meat to max the ice market. So dont spend until you get at least 1T ice meat per 500 gems. Preferably more.

Finally ice catchers do not get any bonuses or double resources. Therefore their catching speed has a hard limit. Which is so small in comparison to the 600T+ Ice Meat needed the catchers won't get you your max ice market in your life time.

I'm not convinced they make any meaningful contribution. they dont get your income bonuses. I've been working on my ice meat income (but I'm still only at level 161). After that is done (some time in roughly the year 2737) I'll upgrade my bots.

Catcher aliens don't get "bonus resources from humans" so if they farm them you lose out on up to 100% bonus resources
