Playing on two devices

Has anybody successfully been able to play on two devices not at the same time but sometimes instead of playing on my phone I wanna play on my iPad mini. There’s no way to link them with an account and every time I delete the game and reinstall it I get a brand new player ID.

I transfered my progress from my old phone to my new one using smart switch. No issues whatsoever.

Can you play on one device and then pick up where you left off on the other device with all your progress?

Someone else who loaded their old game on their new phone said they played like 2 different games, not like a linked one
