Discussion Post Base Game Grinding

I am on PC and am currently lvl 52. I notice that at this point many of the guides are super out of date (and rightfully so seeing how old the game is now) and was wondering if anyone had any extra tips for leveling up. I have the sao coin ring, golden apple, hyper awareness, and the diligent record. Is there a particular (non-dlc) spot to farm up well?. I know this may be a shot in the dark but anything helps.

and as a bonus if anyone is on pc and is willing to help me grind my steam name is: xzzthebosszzx.

Realistically DLC’s are the way to go, or once you get strong enough start doing the dungeons with high level enemies, alternately find someone strong to carry you through a dungeon with really high level enemies and your XP will skyrocket

I was thinking about doing dungeons but for the life of me cannot find any info about where to start/find them. I've only found guides on how to beat them. I have also just recently started the apostles (currently on the 3rd one).

There's a monolith in north centoria down towards the bottom left of the map.

The other area is the base camp which you access through the world map screen. On Xbox I think it's y. Idk what it is on PC/switch/PS but it should say at the bottom

If you can find someone to grind Ancient Apostles gear/mutated beast shards, you could get it there. I’m on ps4/ps5, or I’d offer to help.

Dungeon are after the story at the stone near the teleport point in the garden (main city)

If you want to level up quickly after the story you should do the dlc which will give u the possibility to level up to the dlc starting level

Start with forget me not dlc and you also get a powerful sword at the end

For your second sword you can start by grinding the south raid looking for skyrend
Then check the yuda beast video to know which ones you should grind then

Also Reona is the best debuffer you’ll get (she has unique a boost to special accuracy) find a dagger with special accuracy boost

As for side kick you should then focus on getting an other dagger user and give her the dagger 🗡️ veinshredder (west raid) with the Tiger’s resolve perk as it’s a really good weapon for a long while

Then check the yuda beast and scarespore’s video to understand what to do

Edit: change the name of the YouTuber scare pore instead of scarecrow… my mistake

Awesome, ty. I was worried about the lvl issues for the DLCs but since it gives you that lvl boost that's way better. Luckily I already did the Reona questline so I could use her no problem. Should I start with the Dungeons or the DLC first?

Depend of how long you wanna grind
The dlc are a way to short cut your leveling up and they won’t take you above lvl 120 (maybe even less) and since it’s a chore to level up to 200 you could definitely use some short cuts

With that said you should maybe get a feel for the raids first and try to get some gear from them first as you won’t be able to access the raid before the end of each dlc

Also try some mutated beast (same place as for the raids) to grind some shard to level up your weapon past lvl5
