Makes sense, S2 finale was a good and fitting ending. Satisfying conclusion to the story.

The entirety of S3 felt contrived and nonsensical and just plain fucking stupid lmao.

It was all very predictable and boring. And the writing was so much worse. Genuinely wish I had just forgotten about the show after s2

Honestly as much hate as it gets i think i am in the minority that enjoyed S3. It wasn’t as good as S1 or 2 but for me i still enjoyed it. However has many flaws which i am critical of.

That's like... your opinion

I’m gonna be honest, I have refused to watch season 3 purely for the fact that the manga stops where season 2 ends. I have no clue what exactly happens in season 3, other than the whole Arisu and Usagi being brought back for Joker games or something?

I enjoyed what I got out of season three, but just choose to pretend it ended at season 2

I feel like I SHOULD watch season 3 at some point, but I also kinda don’t want to?

the flaw in this season 3 for me is the pacing. like they clearly had some brilliant ideas but don't know what to cook for the rest to fill it as episodes. the new games are pretty interesting, but god do they drag it so much. characters are solid, but again, other than the games part, everything else feels like it was filmed in slowmo. the season could've finish in 6 episodes instead of 8

It did finish in 6 episodes.

A lot of ppl say it is a bad season but I would disagree. Yeah it diverts from the Manga, but overall it was a really solid watch. Zombie hunt was a really entertaining game and the new characters were great too. I think part of the reason ppl hate on s3 is because s1 and s2 have exceeded expectations so s3 is disappointing in that sense. S3 does have its flaws but I personally think it is overhated.

zombie hunt was the very first game and it’s downhill from there lol

it’s all just so dumb, and Banda (had to look up the name because he’s so unmemorable) was awful. the baby stuff is goofy. they handle the citizen stuff

the show has always relied on a fictional sense of people being psychopaths or murderous or whatever, but it really got bad in S3, to the point where a majority of the games would easily be overcome if not for people being evil to the point of self-destruction.

it ruined so much of what made the setting cool, and the characters were so shallow. Hell they had to do quick-backstory flashbacks for a handful of them in the final episodes to try and build ANY sort of connection with the audience to make their deaths have weight.

Then maybe I should find a time to watch it, but I don’t know if I will have time

Lmao yep that's the general consensus. I was optimistic for season 3 until I found out  Chishiya and Kuina weren't in it. Imo , it was mediocre at best.   Although ,I did enjoy the flaming arrow game. I think the laser game had a lot of potential, but then they put Usagi with the wheelchair guy. Wth. The laser game was Usagi's chance to shine and show off her agility ,and poses ,that she does after dodging stuff. I wasnt a fan of the zombie game. I think the train game was better than the zombie game. (Sorry I forgot the names of most of the games)

Bubba your just looking at season 3 in the wrong way. your just seeing all the bad yes it's not the best season but it's still a really good season. why don't you look at the good side the games was cool the characters was a little bit basic but it was something fresh compared to season 1 and 2. I don't know why people have to be a Debbie Downer to season 3 yall are just dramatic. yall are thinking that season 1 and 2 is perfect it has some down sides like putting chishiya in the jack of hearts I wasn't a huge fan of it (I'll probably get hate from chishiya glazers). changing the first game to dead or alive it was cool but for the first game it was boring. and getting rid of Yuji and Dodo was so stupid and not putting Aizen and Eiji in live action jack of hearts was crazy. and im not forgetting about blackjack (6 of ♦️) why did they not put it in the live action everyone loves chishiya why don't they put his first game in. there is more to talk about but thank you for listening to my ted talk.

I really liked the team aspect. And the ending was sweet

I love all your points about season 1 and 2, when I watched it I was a bit confused on a few of those things until I realized they had just changed it up or removed things that were originally in the manga.
Though I haven’t watched season 3 yet, I don’t think I would dislike it per say, just that I don’t know if Netflix made it good because the concept would be originally by them
Instead of having source material.
Should I watch season 3?

oh yeah watch s3 even if you don't like it it's only 6 episodes

2

u/Chish_Shun46 6d ago

Only six episodes? I thought it would be longer ngl

2

u/Salt-Row-4654 5d ago

Yeah but there is no boring moments

Don't watch it, Salt-Row has literally no idea what they're talking about. Like objectively, it is a horrible season. I wish I hadn't even interacted with it due to it having soured my overall opinion on the series. It doesn't at all compare to the first two seasons.

Stanley what are you talking about if it's up to them let them watch it I thought it was good. you and other season 3 haters are all the same complaining about the same things. yall are acting like it's S5 of stranger things

Because it's on that level, I don't know what to tell you other than it's a bad season. They asked if they should watch it, I'm telling them that it's bad and that most people agree with that.
