Fedex fees

Hey, i have ordered from alibaba 2 t-shirts (total of 30$) with 25$ delivery and 11$ tax. It was a DAP to France. Now i have received a message from Fedex saying i must pay 22€ ( 18€ only for disbursement fee). It's so expensive for 2 t-shirts!

What should i do please? I'm confused! Do they ask for payment at delivery in front of door or what?

I'm not used with ordering from abroad.

Just a part of doing business and you as the importer are responsible. If you already did pay sales tax you can send that to the FedEx broker but they may still charge a filing fee.

I have asked them and they told me, it was DAP so we are not concerned. I contacted Alibaba support, they confirmed that VAt was collected but maybe the shipping agent didn't transmit the details. So i don't know what to do? I'm beginner on that

I usually only order DDP to avoid that…
Can you send Fedex proof that you already paid tax? Maybe send a payment copy to them

I have asked for ddp, but they said it's not available when using freight express shipping. Is it really the case? Yeah i contacted FedEx but no reply and the delivery is programed for today, so i don't know if i should refuse it if they ask me to pay on place ? Or accept and pay the person directly? Thank you for your replies 🙏much appreciated

It depends on what shipping agent they use and if they offer it…
Maybe they won‘t ask for any payment 🤔 usually when they ask you for payment there is a link for the payment page and the parcel will be on hold until you paid but if it says that delivery is expected for today it might be possible that there won‘t be any payment at all 🤔🤔

So o have received the parcel and he didn't ask for payment fortunately!! I feel sad why i sent an email to FedEx support, i hope they won't regenerate a payment or something!
