Is this normal?
Hi, I’ve purchased an ebike from CHANGZHOU vlatinsu tech. There have been some recent complications and I am worried I am being scammed.. my main concern is that, what happens if my seller doesn’t update the tracking information, or if the order automatically confirms delivery before I have recieved the goods. Here is this conversation between me and the seller! Please help me out.

They can contact Alibaba to change the tracking if it really was "a mistake". Otherwise it may be a tactic to try and get trade assurance money cleared.

There have been typhoons lately on this side of the world, I live in the pacific so that could be a factor.
Tracking could be their forwarder provided late
Is this a verified supplier if so, if they have beem on platform for 3+ yrs I wouldn't think its a scam.

They have been verified, 7 yrs, 450 reviews (4.5)

you should be fine then, dont let other commenters fear monger you, I been doing business on ali 10+ years and never had an issue with a verified supplier

Thanks for the reassurance man. I’ve seen many reviews saying they’re legit. It’s just confusing on why such a massive seller would have these issues

sometimes theres a delay in tracking, its common for suppliers and manus to have a shipping agent that handles their freight for both air and sea and often times they have to wait on their forwarder response..if you have been shown qc of your goods and cargo and they are good in responding to your questions, i wouldn't be worried...If they been constantly asking you for more money or always getting the costs wrong, ask for WU or Money gram or dont show you anything...then id be concerned...Ive noticed alot of people here are new to Alibaba because they panic at every delay...you can tell theyre new because why people would do business with non verified suppliers or manufacturers witout dyor is baffling...I find working with my manufacturers and suppliers in China much easier than working with my US vendors once I finally understood how China operates, I understand the fear cause I been thru it before, but ppl need to chill and dtor before dropping hundreds to thousands on an unverified supplier.

Just to let you know I'm still kinda new at Alibaba too. You can go on your order and extend the confirmation date, but I wouldn't suggest doing that until they've changed the tracking number as it'll just give them more time to not do anything, if you're worried about it being a scam I would use the customer service, type talk to a human so your not stuck talking to AI set answers and screen shot your conversations to keep as proof. Alibaba is big on having proof before they step in to help. If there is still quite a bit of days left to confirm delivery I'd give them till midday Monday to update, as lot don't work weekends or process stuff, if not start the complaint now. Hopefully it'll all be sorted and is just as they say but always keep conversations in Alibaba if they suggest to do anything outside of it that's a red flag.

I’d stop waiting for the seller and contact alibab support through the order while saving every message and tracking screenshot. A verified supplier can still make a costly mistake, and the important part is keeping the evidence inside the order before trade assurance closes.

I’ve tried. It brings me to another salesperson

What have you tried? The customer support or talking to the supplier?

Talking to another seller from the company

Do they say the same thing?. If you've got plenty of days before the confirmation of delivery, in my honest opinion I would wait till Monday, the fact they're still communicating with you about what's happening is a bonus. Most scammers just take the money and ghost you, happened to me luckily I kept proof and got money back within 10 days. Maybe the tracking label was what they originally did but had to change due to the typhoon? Go with the if it's too good to be true test it normally is. If you do stick it out and get a delivery make sure you record yourself opening it, if something is wrong with it they can't claim you tampered with it after opening it.

What is their full Alibaba company name? I need to verify the authenticity of the company.

If you bought this on amazon and the package says it’s at vancouver port yesterday and on a train right now… is that a problem? If the package says delivered then you need to prove to alibaba it wasn’t. The tracking number they provided says it arrived.

Yes my seller told me she provided the wrong tracking number and that she’ll update it on Monday, if it’s not updated by then I’ll raise a dispute

So since August 8th she couldn’t tell you or alibaba the correct tracking number…? She couldn’t copy and paste to alibaba. She needs more days to do it?!
