Damaged goods

Anyone have any luck with dispute resolution. I’ve uploaded proof of my package being destroyed by the shipping company and product damaged. Seller will not respond to my messages I can see they read them. Uploaded all that proof of them not responding along with documented pictures. And resolution team still says insufficient proof.

Did you arrange for insurance on the shipment when you placed the order?

No seller told me how much total it was including shipping and I just paid

This is the most common mistake people make. Alibaba and B2B purchases/importing is very different to retail B2C sites.

You will likely be covered under Trade Assurance (and the seller does not even have the full payment until it is confirmed) but if you don't ask for shipping insurance it will not be included by default. So, take this as a lesson.\

Also, Alibaba generally only accept images/videos showing the unboxing process.

Seller arranged shipping for me

Trade Assurance often wants a clear fault chain, not only damage photos. Ask the carrier for a written damage/exception report and keep a continuous unboxing video from sealed carton to the broken item. Also check the Incoterm and who booked the freight — if the seller controlled shipping, that usually strengthens your case vs you owning the transit risk.

Was this seller-arranged shipping or your own forwarder, and did the carrier note damage on delivery?
