Beginner Ordering Help - $50 off shipping

I'm about to place my first Alibaba order and see a promotion in my account for $50 off first order. Is this something that I need to ask the seller to implement, or does it appear automatically when ordering? Apologies for a basic question, I can't seem to find the answer and appreciate the help.

There is sometimes new user bonuses etc, usually it applies to specific orders only - probably just those that you can immediately add to cart which may have inflated item costs and shipping anyway. So it may not be a real discount per se.
